Are you looking for a place to connect? Are you a seasoned writer or just dipping your pen into the ink? Are you a writer of color looking for a way to get resources?

Join The Colony for this free community gathering. Industry professionals will lead sessions that break down the ins and outs, spark new ideas, and leave you feeling more plugged in.

This month session will offer two tracks:

The first will center around resource sharing. Staff from Fresh Arts and Poets and Writers will share nationwide opportunities for writers to develop, fund their next project.

The second track will center help develop your artistic brand. With emphasis on CV building and artist statement, professional writers will help you edit your profile to show your best self.

Lunch is provided. This program is offered in collaboration with the Houston Public Library, with generous funding from the Poetry Foundation.
