Finding Foreign Hometowns of Our Ancestors

Naturalization records and passenger lists are common records to find your ancestor’s foreign hometowns, but many other records can reveal these locations also. Using county histories to death records the Clayton Library staff has found hometowns.  Come and see our sample records to search for your ancestor’s places of origin during the month of June, Immigrant Heritage Month.
