Back-2-School Blowout!

Celebrate and support the students from our  community with a fun and free block party!

The Kashmere Feeder Pattern and Trinity/Houston Gardens Community are hosting a back to school block party with the Houston Public Library  to celebrate and support our kids for the new  school year.

Come and enjoy music, live performances by your fellow school bands and dance teams, fire trucks, crafts and games, free food and drinks and a chance to win your very own laptop or Ipad!


Beat the heat in July & August, by attending these programs at an HPL Neighborhood Library.  We’ll return to Levy Park in September.

Come one, come all for a storytime featuring books and activities that are sure to engage everyone in the family! Encourage your family’s love of reading through this cross-generational literacy experience.


HPL Read with Pawsitive PupsRead with Pawsitive Pups
Woof! Woof! for reading books! Children are invited to relax and read to trained therapy dogs. This program will paws-itively encourage your children to read confidently! Intended for school age children (5-10 years old).

HPL has partnered with Levy Park to feature year-round programming that will create a literary getaway for those looking to experience their library beyond the walls. The park features native landscaping and botanical experiences, a one of a kind children’s play area, interactive water features, a performance pavilion, an event lawn, a community garden and dog park!
